This was totally what we had envisioned!!
garage door to the back garden
or the entire wall of window! Preferably salvaged factory windows would have been stunning.

What did you end up doing instead?
At the end we enlarged the 2 windows to be just a foot off the floor and put in a new door that has mostly glass. It’s not the same, but still lovely and gets tons of sun b/c of they are south facing.
Doing either of the above meant working on new structure on our 140 home, which was way too $$$$ and might even be dangerous. The last thing we needed was to have our home collapse!
Above would be best recommended on a new structure, or a structure with garage door that you want to replace as living space.
