One Issa takeaway we’re struck by? “I strongly believe that to buy less is to buy better.”

we moved in!

What a crazy week.

We moved to our space, cleaned and wiped like a crazy person, and helped our tenant into her space!

We are IN!

Over the weekend, we ran into this guy selling most amazing plants on the street in Carroll Gardens on our way back from Lowes.  So we picked this tall palm tree (over 10ft tall) and a 5ft tall fig tree.

Feels like we are in a european riviera.

love~

So wonderful when you have a vision, do it, then see it done by someone too on one of your favorite blogs!

Over the weekend, we went to IKEA to get some curtains – and I was adamant on getting these 2 PS cabinets (ours is white).  And on Sunday assembled them together side by side.  Just like this photo.

Will show you ours later~

I love this piece because it is simple, not trying to be something other than what it is, and well priced at $99.

so inviting!

From Style Files

“It is rainy here in The Netherland. Time to make a trip to Spain! This beautiful finca (= a rural property in Spain) is located on the island of Ibiza in Spain. The decoration is simple and rustic. Not much is needed in a gorgeous home like this. I love the beamed ceilings and the white walls. From the garden and roof top there is a gorgeous view on Es Vedra, an uninhabited rock island approximately 2 km off the western coast of Ibiza.”

stunning and so part of the environment.

” …reused the stone from the old stable to construct their remote family getaway. Reclaimed oak doors and ceilings and recycled-steel beams contribute to the weather-beaten farmhouse appeal, but inside, the design is closer to a modern warehouse loft.”

Watched a documentary on francesca woodman last night – quite stunning.

Her work is timeless, and so raw.  Honest.  Skin is inside out.

I’ve been into photography these days.  Love how they say “make photo”.
