Here are some more!
As my dear friend Andrea pointed out, not very good for small kids (or maybe small dogs too!) but as inspiration I think it works.
One word of caution. We had an open staircase in my previous house, and it definitely made the house more difficult to sell. There are a whole load of people who freak at the thought of a staircase with no guard rail, so they don’t even step beyond the living room. Looks lovely, and I do love it, but I will never do it again.
