Tagged: exposed beams, exposed white ceiling beam
My whole home has exposed post and beam. I feel like the ceilings are coming down on me and I want to make the home feel more open and comfortable. In Feng Shui it tell how the beams can cause pressure leading to depression, sadness, headachs, and body achs. I need to change this. Will painting or staining the beams help?
I would suggest to paint it in the same color as your ceiling so that the beams becomes more of a texture. That way, the beams will give more dimension to your ceilings, making it feel taller, without it being so overwhelming. Check out some of my images on exposed ceiling beams to see examples. Hope that helps!
