Tung Oil Finish

After much research on wood finishes, we are leaning towards Tung Oil finish for the wood stair banister.

Momo is ripping away the plastic stair covers and we are priming/sanding/painting the spindles and sanding the maroon paint off the banister.  Whew~ lots of work but feels good.

From a  reading from Apartment Therapy, sounds like it’ll be great for floors too (but we are painting it white, maybe staining.)
